Waypoint is built on a simple principle: where you're going is your business. Your location, your saved trips and what you type all stay on your iPhone, and reliability is scored on the device. There is no Waypoint account, no Waypoint server, no analytics and no advertising.
Waypoint does not collect, store, or transmit to us:
Waypoint asks for your location while you're using the app, to time the walk to your first stop and to tell you the moment to leave. Location is processed on the device and is never sent to Prava Labs or to any transit agency. You can use the app without granting location; you then choose where you're starting from yourself.
Trip planning and reliability scoring run on your iPhone, against arrival history that is summarised by us and bundled into the app. When you type a request in plain language, Waypoint first reads it with built-in rules. If those can't settle where you're going, it may ask Apple's on-device model (Apple Intelligence, where your device supports it). That model runs on your iPhone, and what you typed is not sent to Prava Labs.
Waypoint makes network connections only to:
Waypoint never routes your data through Prava Labs servers.
Your saved trips and preferences are stored in the app's own storage on your iPhone, in a container shared only with Waypoint's widgets and Live Activities on the same device. The trip you're on is passed from your iPhone to Waypoint on your paired Apple Watch directly, using Apple's device-to-device connection. None of this passes through Prava Labs, and deleting the app deletes it.
Waypoint asks permission to send notifications so it can tell you when to leave, or when a connection is at risk. Notifications are generated on the device; no push service of ours is involved.
Waypoint does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. There are no SDKs, no beacons, no pixel tracking.
If you test Waypoint through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may share with us the information TestFlight collects: the email address or name you were invited with, crash reports, device model and OS version, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send. We use this only to fix and improve Waypoint, and do not share it with anyone else. Apple's collection is governed by Apple's TestFlight terms and privacy policy.
App Store purchases, if any, are processed entirely by Apple; we do not receive or store any payment information.

Waypoint is a transit planning tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
