Start with $5,000 in virtual money and trade stocks, ETFs and crypto at the prices the market is actually showing, right now. Practice on your own for free. Then form a group with the people you'd rather learn with: everyone gets their own budget, the group grows it, and you compare, talk and compete along the way.
Live on the App Store. Solo is free; groups are Premium, $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year.
A $5,000 portfolio that is yours alone, free forever. Buy and sell at live prices, watch your positions move with the market, and learn what a 3% day feels like before a real one costs you anything. It works offline too, with the last prices it saw.
Up to eight friends, family or coworkers, each with their own $5,000. See everyone's positions in one group portfolio, talk trades in the chat, and climb the leaderboard. Growing the group grows everyone's budget, up to $15,000 each.
The mechanics of a real brokerage app, with pretend money. If Apple drops 3% today, it drops in TradeSocial too.
Quotes come from a live market-data feed, cached and refreshed as you use the app. The number you buy at is the number the market is showing, not a stale close from last night.
Search any listed stock or ETF, and crypto as USD pairs like BTC‑USD. Equities trade in shares, crypto in units, and every price is formatted the way a statement would show it.
Every holding gets a sparkline, Today's change, Total Return including what you already sold, and the fundamentals behind the ticker. Sort your list by name, value, daily change or gain.
Pick a symbol, a quantity and a side; the trade fills instantly at the market price and lands in your history. No order types to learn before you have learned what a position is.
Everything you did, in order, with the price and the size. In a group, everyone's trades appear as cards in the same feed, so a strategy is visible while it is happening.
Reset your solo portfolio from its menu and you are back to $5,000 with a clean slate. A blown-up practice account is the cheapest lesson in investing, and here it costs nothing to repeat.
A trade executed, a milestone bonus landed, a budget running low: each one a notification that opens the right screen. Solo trades stay quiet; nobody needs to be told what they just did.
Your solo portfolio opens without a connection, with the last prices it saw and your sparklines intact. Group trading waits for a connection and tells you so, rather than guessing.
No credit card, no brokerage account, no real money. Ever.
With Apple, Google or an email address. Your $5,000 is waiting on the other side. Solo mode is free and stays free.
Search a symbol, buy some, watch it move. Sell when you think you should, and see whether you were right in Today's change and Total Return.
Create a group and hand out the invite code, or join one. Each member gets their own $5,000; nobody can spend anyone else's. Up to eight people, up to six groups.
Reach four members and everyone gets $2,500 more. Six, another $2,500. A full group of eight, $5,000 on top: $15,000 per member to learn with.
Family, friends, coworkers, a classroom. Everyone starts equal and the group finds out who was right.
Every member has their own $5,000 and their own positions. One person's bad week is their own; the group's numbers are the sum of everyone's.
One screen with the whole group's holdings, yours and theirs, with each member's name on their positions. Switch between your groups and your solo portfolio in a tap.
Talk in the group while you trade. Every buy and sell drops into the conversation as a card with the symbol, size and price, and the app posts when someone joins, leaves or is running low on cash.
Members ranked by what they have contributed to the group's performance, win rate once they have sold something, and the top contributors by dollars traded and share of the group's volume. Bragging rights come with receipts.
A group is joined by code, so it stays the people you invited. Groups hold up to eight members, and you can belong to up to six at once.
The member who created the group can rename it and remove people. Anyone can leave, and the chat records it.
| Milestone | Bonus to Every Member | Each Member Has |
|---|---|---|
| Start | Your own $5,000 | $5,000 |
| 4 members | +$2,500 | $7,500 |
| 6 members | +$2,500 | $10,000 |
| 8 members, a full group | +$5,000 | $15,000 |
Bonuses are virtual money added to every member's budget when the group reaches the size. A full group has $120,000 in play between eight people.
The point of paper trading is that the prices are true and the consequences are not. Here is exactly where the line sits.
| What | Real? |
|---|---|
| Prices and daily moves | Real — live market data for stocks, ETFs and crypto |
| Your money | Simulated — $5,000 of virtual cash; nothing can be deposited, withdrawn or lost |
| Fills | Simulated — instant, at the market price, with no spread, commission, slippage or delay |
| Your returns | Real arithmetic — computed from real prices on simulated positions, so the lesson is real even though the dollars are not |
| The other people | Real — a group is the people you invited, trading in the same market at the same time |
| Market impact | None — your simulated trades do not touch real markets |
Everything a single learner needs costs nothing. The subscription pays for the part that runs between people.

Billed through the App Store. It renews unless cancelled 24 hours before the period ends; cancel any time in your Apple ID subscriptions. Members of a group each need Premium; the group's data lives in the cloud so it can be shared.
It is not a brokerage, a bank or a financial adviser, and it is not regulated as one. No real money is ever deposited, traded or withdrawn, and nothing in the app is investment advice. Simulated fills are cleaner than real ones: real trading has spreads, commissions, slippage and delays, and it has the emotional weight of money that is actually yours.
The right mental model: TradeSocial teaches you what a position, a drawdown and a return feel like, at real prices, before you find out with real money.
It needs an account, because groups are people and people need to be told apart: sign in with Apple, Google or email, and delete the account from Settings whenever you like. Groups need a connection; the solo portfolio does not. Past simulation performance says nothing about real-world results. Talk to a licensed adviser before you invest real money.
